I realize that not everyone that reads this post will be a Christian, or for that matter a theist. However, don’t think that there are any among us that do not feel something special in the air this time of year. Maybe it is the return (or promise of return) of warm weather, and pleasant outdoor pipe smoking. Or perhaps there is a spiritual dimension recognizing the salvation of God and the rebirth of the world. Regardless, we can all agree that it is good to turn our backs to winter and light a pipe as we look towards the springing of spring.
So join me in lighting a bowl of your favorite blend and allow the smoke to rise to the heavens. Allow your thought/prayers to follow rising to God/Nature/Universe. Recognize that we are part of something bigger than ourselves, and keep that feeling in mind as we walk among others.
